Now Showing at Concord Arts Market!!!

Hi everyone, I'll be showing at the Concord Arts Market in Concord, NH for the last 4 Saturdays in October, so October 10th, 17th, 24th, and 31st. The Concord Arts Market is very similar to a Sowa Open Market setting with vendors being set up outside underneath canopies. The Concord Arts Market runs from 9am - 3pm and is located at "Eagle Square" on North Main St. in downton Concord, NH across the street from the State House. This is a rain or shine even with free parking and admission. I have yet to display in the NH art community, so I am looking forward to breaking into the NH art scene. I hope to see some of you NH folk on my mailinglist come out and visit my canopy one of these Saturdays in October, it should be fun.

Also, I will still be showing at the Sowa Open Market for the last 3 remaining Sundays this October as well, so my October weekends will be art filled to the max! If you live close to Boston, please try to make it out to one of these outdoor festival weekends as well. Sundays at the Sowa this Fall have been great! Stop by my booth and say hello.

Lastly, I am a participating artist in the 2nd Annual Melrose Window Art Walk happening on Main Street in Melrose, MA. The Window Art Walk will last until Ocotober 24th. My display window is located at Whittemore Hardware on 531 Main Street. I have 6 pieces total for sale. If you happen to walk past my window and are interested in a piece of art, just shoot me an email or give my studio a call and I'll be more than happy to help you out with a painting purchase. Sowa Open Market THIS Weekend 10/4 & 2 New Commission Paintings!!!

Hi everyone, first off I'd like to welcome the newcomers to my mailing list and say thank you to everyone that was able to make it to my showing at the Lowell Open Studios this past weekend at the ALL Gallery. This was my first time ever showing in Lowell, and I had a blast meeting new artists and partaking in such a fruitful art community.

I will be showing at the Sowa Open Market at 540 Harrison Ave in South Boston for the next 4 consecutive Sundays in October, so October 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th. Each Sunday goes from 10am - 4pm and there is no admission price and FREE parking. I showed at the Sowa Open Market for two Sundays in August and it was definitely a high traffic worthwhile event with tons of artists, crafters, and food vendors. Definitely try to make it out one of these Fall Sundays and stop by my booth and say hello.

Showing at the Lowell Open Studios this weekend Sept. 26th & 27th!!!

Hi everyone, this weekend I will be showing both Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 26th & 27th at the 9th annual Lowell Open Studios with my location being at the Arts League of Lowell Gallery building on 246 Market St. in Lowell, MA. Both days are from 11am - 5pm. I will have my own booth space set up in the ALL with an assortment of original oil paintings and prints, along with 3 larger works being showcased in the main gallery area along with all the other participating artists.

There will also be a Friday kick off party being held at the Whistler House Museum of Art located at 243 Worthen St. in Lowell, MA on Sept. 25th starting at 6:30pm. Tickets for this event are only $10 and I will be showing one of my paintings in the large entrance tent along with the other 140 artists participating in this open studios event. Also, there will be a “Block Party” in the Market Mills Courtyard (between the Brush and ALL galleries) on that Saturday, between 5pm and 7pm. This is a public event, so please come by and enjoy some food, refreshments, and music. Hope to see you all out this weekend, should be a fun one!

2 Exhibits THIS Weekend in Billerica & Melrose!!!

Hi everyone, this weekend I have two exhibits coming up. The first one is this Saturday, September 12th at the 19th Annual Yankee Doodle Homecoming Weekend on Boston Rd. in Billerica, MA. This outdoor festival will run on Saturday from 10am - 5pm rain or shine with many of the events being located at Billerica Town Hall/High School. There will be raffles, food, a parade, rides, & more! This is my first time ever showing at the Yankee Doodle Homecoming Weekend. Please stop by my canopy and say hi.

The second exhibit I will be having is on Sunday, September 13th at the 29th Annual Melrose Victorian Fair on Main St. I will be one of many crafters at the "Artisan's Alley" booth next to Eastern Bank. Fair hours are from 11:30am - 5pm. There will be raffles, food, rides, & more for this outdoor festival as well. The rain date for the Victorian Fair is Sept. 20th.

I should have a couple of new paintings to show at both festivals this weekend along with the usual mix of canvas prints and photo prints. Thanks for all the support and please stop by one of my canopy's this weekend and say hello. See you all soon.

Salem Willows Park is located at 167 Fort Ave in Salem, MA 01970. The festival is actually on Saturday 8/15 as well, but I will only be showing on Sunday from 11am - 6pm. Art Exhibit at STARBUCKS in Brighton, MA and Much More

Hi everyone, I just finished setting up a tiny solo exhibition I'm having at STARBUCKS in Brighton, MA on 470 Washington St. I have about 5 pieces in the show and the exhibit will hang through August 31, 2009. Hi everyone, so as you all know times are tough and the economy isn't doing so well. Most all industries have been hit hard with financial crisis and I know that this might come as a surprise but this INCLUDES the Fine Art Industry! I wish I could lie to you all and say that sales have been better than ever and that things are all "Hunky-dory", but the reality of it is is that people would rather put food on their table and gas in their car rather than buy a piece of original art....can you believe that???...how dare they! I'm only joking of course and I don't blame people one bit for spending money on the more necessary things in life.

As it always has been in the art industry, most people don't see art as a functional buy or something that is a good investment. They would rather buy a new Sony plasma tv or an ipod touch than a piece of original artwork...ya know...something that's more practical. I'm not saying this to make anyone feel guilty (please don't take this the wrong way), I'm just trying to state that this has been the competition for us artists since the beginning, so just think now with the crippled state the economy is in how us "starving" artists are doing. We need to eat too and with that said, I'm dramatically lowering all of my prices from original art, to commissions and more.

I am now taking 30% OFF for all of my original paintings I have available through my studio, all prints styles I have from photo prints to limited edition canvas prints, commission paintings that people would like to hire me to do, murals, and more. This offer is for a limited time only and will last only until August 31, 2009. So if you had ever once thought about hiring me to do a commission painting or wanted a painting done from a photo, now would be the time to do it. If you ever liked an original oil painting that you saw off of my website or at a gallery show but couldn't afford it, now would be the time to do it. Many of you are probably thinking that I might "fudge" the numbers a bit in my favor, but for anybody that knows me knows that I'm not a liar or a thief. My motto has always been, "I'm out to make a living not a killing" and I have stood by that motto for the past 5 years of being self employed.

This past week I've been a very busy bee and have joined A TON of new social networking websites (kind of like "Myspace" & "Facebook") along with A TON of new online shops where you can view and buy my artwork directly from the site. New Fantasy Painting, Father's Day Around the Corner, & Starbucks Opening Reception on June 20th!!!

Hi everybody, June is already shaping up to be a pretty hectic month. First check out my latest commission painting called "Twisted Masterpiece". The theme is a maiden being hunted down by werewolves in the forest at twilight. This is something COMPLETELY different from what I normally paint, but I had complete artistic freedom to do what I wanted to in the picture and this is an avenue I've always wanted to explore somewhere down my career path...the "Fantasy Art" road. Please let me know how you like the painting. All criticism is helpful. Also if interested, $10 photo prints are available of "Twisted Masterpiece" as well as framed photo prints for $40 and canvas prints for $100.
